Collective actions
PATERSON ZEN GARDEN
In the historic center of Paterson, NJ, behind the Paterson Silk Machinery Exchange building, the organizers walked along a path in the woods and stopped in front of two metal podiums protruding from the bushes along the path. A small image of М. Craig- Martin, given to Olga Zaikina by Andrei Monastyrski via Ethan Bien as a factography for the CA's action No. 169 was attached to one of the podiums and then covered with a piece of pink silk. The other podium was affixed with a small QR-code linked to the YouTube video of Richard Serra working in Bochum, Germany, in 1979 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKXT_zmtdGg). The other side of the path featured a stone wall; a reproduction of a black-and-white photograph by Logo Oluwamuyiwa which Sabine Haensgen had brought from a recently seen exhibition at MoMA was attached to that wall. The enclosed, gallery-like space of this section of a path was also coincidentally marked by large black trash bags around this particular area which were there before the organizers arrived.
